hi! i’m edith.
I am a friendly and approachable second generation Asian-Canadian who works within a person-centred, multi-theory framework. I believe in a holistic and evidence-based approach to therapy that includes drawing from culturally-aware, attachment-based, strength-based, trauma-informed, emotionally-focused and solution-focused modalities.

It can be difficult to reach out for support when we find ourselves adrift in the ocean of our lives. Perhaps you've momentarily let go of your anchor and don't know how to find your way back or maybe you've been floating on your own for as long as you remember. Your circumstances and experiences are unique, but you don't have to be alone on your journey.
I strive to use my professional training in tandem with unique insight from my lived experience to create a safe, non-judgmental and collaborative space where you can be free to explore your identity, internal processes and lived experiences.
We are all striving to find safety, purpose and belonging in our lives. Often times, there can be many factors that may be contributing to and maintaining these struggles. Let's work together to find the path to who you want to be.

I graduated from Yorkville University with a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology in 2022 and received a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Carleton University in 2016.
From 2016 to 2022, I worked as a Behavioural Therapist and Analyst within the Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) and Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) fields. During this time, I worked with neurodiverse children and adolescents in managing and coping with emotional dysregulation while teaching adaptive coping skills and cognitive flexibility.
Now, I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I am certified to provide psychotherapy and counselling services under the supervision of a Registered Psychotherapist with CRPO.
